This article outlines the full procedure and eligibility criteria for EUC students and recent graduates who wish to participate in an Erasmus+ traineeship abroad. It includes important facts, application steps, required documents, and deadlines for Fall, Spring, and Summer sessions. It also explains who can host traineeships and how activities may be recognized as part of the student’s degree.
You may gain valuable international experience that will enhance your CV by participating in an Erasmus+ traineeship period for 2 to 12 months. Programs with a duration of five years, such as Medicine, are allowed a total mobility period of up to 24 months.
The traineeship period may be materialized during your study years or a recent graduate, up to one year after your graduation.
You may receive an Erasmus grant for being trained abroad per each cycle of study (Bachelor, Master, Doctoral degrees).
The duration of a traineeship for recent graduates counts towards the total 12 months maximum of the cycle during which you apply for the traineeship.
QUALIFY CRITERIA:
- To qualify as a valid mobility activity for traineeships, the following criteria must be met:
- You must have completed 60 ECTS (1st year) of studies.
- You must have a GPA of 2.3 or above.
- Your chosen mobility destination should be a Program Country other than Cyprus and different from the country of your residence during your studies.
- Cyprus and the branch campuses of our university are not eligible destinations for mobility.

- Participants who choose as a mobility destination their country of origin will be considered as zero-grant participants and will not receive the Erasmus+ Scholarship.
- Recent graduates must have completed all requirements towards your degree and must have a balanced tuition account at European University Cyprus.
IMPORTANT FACTS:

This is to avoid conflicts of interest and double funding.

- The minimum duration of the traineeship must be 2 months.
- Participants must have adequate insurance coverage during their traineeship.

- If the traineeship is considered a relevant part of the applicant’s degree, it may be credited towards the degree upon approval by the participant’s academic advisor.
