This article explains the process, requirements, and documents needed for EUC students interested in participating in Erasmus+ outgoing mobility for studies. It outlines eligibility criteria, application steps, deadlines, partner university selection, and important rules before, during, and after the mobility.
The actions of the Erasmus+ Program apply to all disciplines and study cycles. You can participate in mobility activities up to 12 months in total for each study cycle.Programs with a duration of five years, such as Medicine, are allowed a total mobility period of up to 24 months.
You are eligible to participate in mobility periods with physical presence for studies, traineeships, or a combination of both. The duration of each mobility period can range from 2 to 12 months. You may engage in multiple mobility periods, totaling up to 12 months, regardless of the type and number of activities.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To qualify for a valid mobility activity for studies, you must meet the following criteria:
- you must have a GPA of 2.30/4.00 or above.
- You should pursue the mobility activity after completing your first year of studies and earning a minimum of 60 ECTS credits.
- Your chosen mobility destination should be a Program Country other than Cyprus and different from the country of your residence during your studies.
- You are required to select the Partner University listed in the Erasmus Agreements. (https://euc.ac.cy/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/IIAs-January-2025.xlsx)
- You will receive an EU grant to support expenses abroad, including travel costs.
- Cyprus and the branch campuses of our university are not eligible destinations for mobility.
IMPORTANT FACTS:
- You are required to enrol in at least 30 ECTS at the Host University for each mobility semester.
- Upon successful completion of your mobility period, the ECTS credits earned abroad will be transferred to your degree at EUC.
- The final score of the courses attended abroad under the Erasmus Program will not affect your Grade Point Average (GPA) at EUC.
- Tuition fees are not paid at the Host University; instead, payments are made to EUC.
- While participating in the Erasmus activity, you should not be registered for any courses at EUC.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Once you have selected the partner university that will be your host university for your mobility activity, you should:
- Save the web link or bookmark the website providing information about the Erasmus courses offered at the host university.
- Contact your Enrollment Advisor to obtain a study plan worksheet.
- Forward both the study plan worksheet and the web link to the Erasmus Academic Coordinators of your School (https://euc.ac.cy/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/SCHOOLS-ERASMUS-ACADEMIC-COORDINATORS.pdf). They will assess the compatibility of the courses between the host university and your degree program at EUC.
- Process the Application Documents.
- Submit all the required Application Documents to the Erasmus Office.
- Remember that only fully completed and signed documents will be accepted.
