This article provides step-by-step instructions for taking the English Placement Test (EPT) through EUC’s Virtual Campus platform. Students are guided on how to log in, access the test, complete personal information questions, Reading Comprehension, Language Use, and Essay Writing sections, and submit their test successfully. It also highlights the importance of not submitting the test before it is fully completed.
STEP 1: Go to https://virtualcampus.euc.ac.cy/
STEP 2: Use the username and password you have been given to log in
STEP 3: Click on the “courses” link and then on your course
STEP 4: Once on the Course Page, click on the test as shown below.
STEP 5: Click on ‘View Assignment’
STEP 6: The first four questions require you to provide your Full Name, ID/Passport number, phone number, and major. Use the space provided to type in your answer. (in English)
*Make sure NOT to click the ‘Submit’ button on the bottom right. You should only do this when you complete the whole test (if you do, you won’t be able to access the test again).
STEP 7: In Question 4, you need to state your program of study at EUC.
STEP 8: The next section includes 10 questions related to your experience with the language. You need to answer them by using the space provided.
STEP 9: This is where the actual test begins. Part A includes 20 Reading Comprehension questions, all multiple-choice. You need to answer all of them.
STEP 10: This is a sample Reading Comprehension question. You need to choose the correct answer from the options below by clicking on A, B, C, or D.
STEP 11: Once you complete Part A you move on to Part B – Language Use. There are 30 multiple-choice questions in this part. You need to answer all of them.
STEP 12: As in Part A, you need to choose the correct answer from the options given to fill each blank by clicking on A, B, C, or D.
STEP 13: Once you complete Part B you move on to Part C – Writing.
STEP 14: You only need to choose one of the three topics here. Use the space provided below to write your essay.
STEP 15: Once you finish your essay, click on ‘Submit’ at the bottom right to complete your test.
STEP 16: A pop-up window will appear asking you the following question. If you are sure you have finished the test, click on ‘Submit’. If you’re not, click on ‘Cancel’.
STEP 17: Your test has been submitted successfully! Click on the X button shown below to move to the Course Page.
STEP 18: Click on the X button shown below to exit the Course Page.
