This article explains the conditions under which students can edit or resubmit assignments in Blackboard Ultra. It covers scenarios where multiple attempts are allowed, what to do if only one attempt is permitted, and how to make edits if the assignment is still in draft mode.
It depends on how your instructor has set up the assignment.
1. If Multiple Attempts Are Allowed
-
You can resubmit your assignment as long as the submission deadline hasn’t passed.
-
Go to the assignment, click View Submission, and then select Start Attempt or New Attempt.
-
Upload the revised file and submit again.
2. If Only One Attempt Is Allowed
-
You cannot resubmit unless your instructor manually grants another attempt.
-
Solution: Contact your instructor and explain why you need to resubmit. If approved, they can allow an additional attempt.
3. Editing Before Submission
-
If you haven’t clicked Submit yet and the assignment is still in Draft mode, you can go back and make changes.
